I am a new member to the army, I met a couple of you guys up in Ennis this past weekend.

So here is the problem, I have a 2013 platinum F250 completely stock for now which is where I need the help. I just ordered a set of 22x12 AF Rebels and I am trying to decide if I want to put 305/45R22 Nitto 420s and lower it, or put a 4.5" carli and 35 toyo mts. Any help and pictures to make up my mind would be greatly appreciated.

It is killing me to see these wheels sitting in boxes in my room and not on the truck, but I also don't want to make a wrong, expensive decision.

Thanks guys and I am glad to be a part of the army.

IMO, i'd go with the 4.5" and 35's but id rather have ground clearance then ground issues. just my 2cents

plus i would THINK you would rub with a 12" wide rim and it being lowered

Well if he puts 305's on it might barely that's a small tire for a 22 would look killer but you have a weak tire if you ver haul.... I haul a lot so I always think about that.

I haul, but not much and not often. I have had lifted trucks my whole life and love them. But you see a lifted truck everywhere you go now. And im planning on putting some power to the ground eventually.

Lower it.

In these pictures, my FX4 is lowered 3" front and 4.5" rear. I raised the front .5" since these photos were taken. It drives and looks great. Tires are 305/50/20.

I still have the custom 3" springs if you want to try them. I've bought stuff from you before and if you can find a pair of Harley side steps, we'd have a great trade!

I mean a 4.5" lift won't hinder you from putting power to the ground, plenty of examples on the forums for that, but at the same time being from Texas I could see why you'd rather do something different. Seems like you have some choices to make haha. Gl post pics when you make a decision!!

I would love to make the trade, but Harley steps are a needle in a hay stack kind of thing. Ive never had a set of those before.

I have 420's on my truck, but I run 20's. In my opinion I think the tire is too small for a 22" wheel. With a 20x12 cut front coil and block removed I don't rub, unless I hit the perfect incline at the perfect angle. I would do the 4.5" lift and bigger tires, although it will be cheaper to run the 420's

Do you have any pictures of yours?
