Need to find a thread

I'm looking for a thread about that talks about swapping rear ends, more specifically swapping new srw rear end into old drw truck. I know I've read something about this some were just cant find it. If any one know what im talking about can you point me in the right direction thanks.

Remove driveshaft, jack up & support truck with strong jack stands under frame. Remove shocks, remove sway bar (if you have one) Remove tires, unhook brake line at the T by removing axle vent. Remove U bolts with wrench/torch/cutoff wheel & lower axle onto cart or leave on floor & drag out. Re-install in reverse order.

I know how to do it.

But i thought there mounting problems when you take a rear end out of a super duty and put it into 95 drw.

Not exactly what you are looking for probably, but it has a little information.

Call Cary (OBSWIZ) he's the master at newer rear ends into OBS trucks. Unless you have a C&C axle a pickup axle to pickup axle should swap right over. You'll need a different U joint/yoke. You will also have to do the front as well or you won't be able to swap rims front to back.

Thanks i got it figured out. I think what i was thinking about was the cab and chassis thing.
