I have tried a search on this, so apologize up front if it has been covered.

I notice my truck basically lives at some level of boost almost all the time. Except for at idle or coasting there is some amount of boost being indicated. If I am cruising at a constant speed there is a boost indication. Is this normal? These trucks live life in boost?

This is during normal driving and towing no load. Truck is lifted with 37's and 22" wheels, all emissions equipment is still fully intact. Averaging around 13.4MPG which I would guess is normal; just not sure about the boost.

Thanks for any insight.

This isn't like a gas engine that can only handle 6-8 lbs of boost. When you max out at 4-5 times that much, you are almost always making some. The more load you put on the truck the more boost in makes. Having a lift an large tires increases the load quite a bit on the highway.
