No exhaust only downpipe

Is there anything to worry about driving long distances with only a downpipe?

I had an emergency come up.and need to drive from wa to cali but haven't had a chance to get my exhaust on

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it isn't pointing at anything that could catch on fire. It'll probably get very annoying btw

Drove from college station to south tx with mine like that.......nothing bad happend. It was anoying as hell though.

Yea the noise im prepared for. The downpipe right now is tucked under the heat shield right under the passenger floor so as far as things catching fire I think it should be fine

It will be fine. Its gonna get black as mess though. Mine wasn't that loud though.

Watch out for your tranny temp because it is going to be exiting almost directly on or next to your tranny cooler lines, that is if you have an auto.

Could always pick up a piece of flex pipe and throw it on just to get the exhaust exiting back a little farther.

Can pick it up for pretty cheap.

It'll just be an annoying drone nothing too extreme. My exhaust came unclamped at the downpipe a week or so ago and I've been driving around like that and its been fine. Need some time to button it up.

I had my exhaust come loose from my down pipe mid track man was I thinking wtf was that.. But you'll be fine just annoyed.

I have ran my truck with just a down pipe for the last six month's.No problems so far.

Ive been running a down pipe for about 6 months and made 2 trips from florida to pennsylvania, transmission hasnt even gotten hot, just from the tranny back its completely black, noise isnt that bad until you get next to something and it echos off

Yea I noticed that for the most part noise isn't bad but at certain rpm and of course when you're next to someone
