Can the LPOP lose prime? Pump gone I wonder?
I cranked a couple times but no oil.

Are you getting oil pressureally at the mains? Checked with a gauge?
Is the pickup tube welded?
Basics, I know. If you have lp oil, I'd have to say something is amiss at the hpop resivoir.
Sorry, haven't really followed your problem.

Pickup tube is welded. Gonna take Rez off and see if oil is there.

After I put the 444e Rez on, it didn't have oil then. But with the extra line that helps feed the haldex pump, I filled the HPO Rez with oil. It started then. If there is a blockage on the front cover feeds the Rez, the other line is probably feeding the oil for both at the moment. My theory.

You might want to check pressure at the mains to make sure you're not robbing too much oil to feed the injection pump.

I would be looking for something wrong somewhere if the melling isn't keeping it happy.

$700 for a couple of gears and a cover...damn.

Did some work on it. Couple of questions. The check oil valve in the front of the engine, that keeps oil from going back from the tube that supplies the Rez right? But if oil does go back down on the front cover and the check valve is ok could the seal might be the problem?

Oil did come up to Rez after I took check valve apart. Didn't do it before I took everything apart.

Oil did go back down the tube when I stopped cranking. It should stay full correct?

Yes I believe you are right that the oil should stay in that part of the resi.

Saw you pull last night Seth. Not bad.

Didn't know for sure if we were going to make that one or I would have pmd you to see if you were going to be there.

It was probably the worst pull that truck has ever done. Track just got to damp for there to be much traction with street tires. And I really need up make a block up for the back so it doesn't squat so bad.

But at least nothing broke :redspotdance:

I might be over thinking my problem. The check valve up front is to keep the HPO Rez from emptying correct? Engine oil goes past the check valve under some pressure I assume. But since I put a secondary line on the bottom oil rail where there is no real restriction, oil is going to line first and not the HPO Rez route. I might need to get the to find another port that doesn't infer with that line. I'm I off?

According to some flow diagrams there are 2 oil lines that go up to the Rez. One has the check valve the other doesn't. I'm blank on other info with them.
