Oil pan leak

Everywhere I've looked it seems that the grey rtv is what causes oil pan leaks. Has anyone tried a traditional gasket approach like this one? http://www.jegs.com/p/Moroso/Moroso-Ford-73-Powerstroke-International-T444E-Oil-Pan-Gasket/2808694/10002/-1?itemPerPage=90&pno=1

International gray silicone is the best option. Done correctly you won't have an issue

It's the same damn thing. Who built the 7.3 powerstroke and sold them to ford? Ford just charges more for the stuff for the motor because there's another middleman.

Yea sorry. I can only stand PSN stupidity for so long. Lol. Then I come back here and forget to leave the anger over there.

But yes the grey sealant is the best stuff to use. Almost impossible to get it off to change the oil pan. Almost makes me want to use it to drywall ceilings. Lol
