I did my quarterly egr inspection and cleaning. I noticed oil residue at the bottom of the egr and at the upper section by the top o-ring. The egr was pretty dry. Could this mean the oil cooler is going bad? oil and coolant levels normal. Engine temps normal. No smoking. The last time I did a cleaning I rubbed some oil on the O-rings. Maybe the oil dripped down? Any thoughts? Probably time for a new cooler and a delete.

"Wet stacking"

CCV vapor and carbon mixture, would be my guess without actually seeing it in person.

Can also be caused by incomplete combustion, ****ty fuel, extended idle time, etc.
