Finally had time to lay them in place to lay out the studs I need to weld to the back

Trevor and PMF gave me exactly what I wanted...they fit perfectly when spaced 1/2" away from the pinch weld. I did it that way so they float over the bolts for the Amp steps and the 2 bolts on the bottom of the fender.

Why not just glue them on or adhesive tape?

I would prefer glue over bolts.

keep us up to date with these. I ordered regular covers and haven't even opened them because couldn't decide on whether the bolts from amps would look stupid, guess I just decided!! looks great

I'll have them done on Saturday. Have to make a trip to Mississippi for a meeting today and tomorrow but I have everything sitting here ready to go when I get back.

Ridiculously bad pics but the weather here is horrible. That's the best my phone would do.
They look great in person. I welded 3 of the studs to hit a factory hole then added a 4th behind the rear Amp step bracket. I used 5/16" studs which are way smaller than the factory holes and I still had to open up a few factory holes to adjust them how I wanted them. Not a big deal but something to watch out for.

Looks way better than having those ugly pinch welds showing!! Not to be a pain but could you show pics of the backside where you did your welds?

PMF has had another version for quite a while. This is a new design where I changed up the front of the covers quite a bit so everything is hidden. They're also available from PMF but are different than the old covers. I saw Trevor post they're $65 and no hardware is included. There's just too many ways people may wanna install them.
