Ported intakes ???

What part of the intake do they actually port ?? Do they need to cut into it to port it then weld it back together ???
My truck is in the shop getting studs and gaskets and wanted to get the machine shop to port the intake but wasn't sure if they've dealt with a 6.4 intake manifold before .Any directions would be helpful ,think there gonna start putting it back together tomorrow ..

Probably not going to happen. It takes a lot of machine work and some good welding. Plus a whole new bolt kit. They machine the bolt towers out of the manifold and the bolts become recessed into the manifold. Which then need to be caped for install and removal. You can all Elite and see if they have one in stock. Or call Doug at GOGO. Pm Jdgleason and ask him.
