Pushrod discussion

Figured since we had a good valve spring thread going it would only be fair to start one on push rods. So what is everyone running for pushrods in their aftermarket higher hp applications? I know a lot of people running smith bros but, I also know of a few that run stockers.

Up to now I've run stockers. I like replacing pushrods better than breaking rockers off their studs.

Been using Carson Stauffer's chromoly p-rods in my pulling truck. Haven't had any issues with them after a season.

Im using Rockys old push rods in my cummins.


My international uses stock push tubes though. Seem to work like international intended.

If your swapping push tubes for push rods in a international v8 your an idiot

I'm running wipe out push rods. I was planning on getting smith bros., but I got a good deal on these used an they've been working just fine

Doug has a set of push rods as well. 7/16" diameter. Supposed to be bigger and stronger then smith bros.

Im also running DIs. No problems to date and they are just as heavy if not more so then smith bros.

I am thinkin they run $1450 or so.
If you have stock rockers whats it matter how thick and heavy they are? If they are chromoly they are plenty strong regardless.

I can't remember who I bought mine from, it was either DI or wipeout. Either way they are chromoly.
