The plastic end tanks allow the OEM radiator to tolerate the flex of the cab better than a solid aluminum radiator.

What he said^^^^ I didn't try an aluminum one though, went right back with oem.

the 6.4 doesnt need it. just needs a radiator that wont leak .

Mike is right. They are huge stock. But I will tell you the Mishimoto took over 6 gallons to fill where stock is less than 5. So it definitely holds more coolant.
