Took it around town a little bit yesterday and on the highway...Morgan you must be deaf because this thing is loud as hell. LOL Cruising in OD at around 75mph EGT's sit around 850-900 degree's. Through some of the little rolling hills it would creep up to like 1150-1200 but nothing more than that. In tow haul it'll stay in 4th which is perfect because it keeps the egt's cool and I generally don't tow over 65 mph anyways. Around town drives pretty good. Doesn't haze all over the place and cruising around 40mph egt's stays around 550-600 degree's with the AC on and Tow/haul off. When that turbo lights hold on...the truck pulls hard and ripping on it I've yet to break 1200 for EGT's. So far been really happy....except for one little thing...slight blueish "poof" that comes out the tail pipe when at a stop light...noticed a little bit of oil on the turbo when I was changing out the boot yesterday. CCV is re-routed as well. I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

I wanna say around 2200 but I haven't been paying much attention to it...been having too much fun driving it. I'll be sure to get some details tonight on my way home. Hopefully have it on the rollers here soon as well. :evil

EDIT: 2300-2400

All your reading and temps sound close to mine. Lights around 2100-2200 and then rips with my 66.

I also noticed oil in the hot side pipe when my boot blew off. Keep us updated as to what you find. I think mines just from a worn out turbo.

Will do. I'm giving readings with tow haul off. I'll get some readings with the tow haul on and post those up. Truck does runs cooler that way.

That it does. I switched to hybrid shifting and using the tow haul, trucks really driver friendly in town.

Agree'd. I'm liking it so far. Test for me is when I hook the boat up to it. With the hybrid shifting with tow haul on, I don't see it being an issue. But we will see.

Post your numbers up. I actually towed a 21ft Mariaha inboard/outboard (not sure of weight) this weekend and it did great.

Oh for sure. Hopefully video as well. We have a 22ft larson ski-boat so should be a good little tow. :)

Once I get the turbo situation figured out I will get everyone some dyno numbers and driving video's. Hang tight guys! Will say with tow/haul "off" it runs around 500 egt's cruising 35-40. Under acceleration it doesn't get above 800 degree's. Checked the RPM when the turbo lights and it's around 2200rpm. I am lifted and on 35's and 20's. Love driving this thing! Big thanks to Morgan for throwing together this turbo kit and Jacob for the help choosing a turbo, and Mike from No Limit for the beautiful IC piping. Also Matt from Gearhead and Greg over at MPD!

I meant to ask, what did you do about the down pipe? Custom?

My stock works but it rubs occasionally. So I went SDP

Truck goes in soon for a built trans and a little higher stall converter. Last night couldn't go over 10psi standing on the brake. Plus I figure I'd do the trans before I go further into the truck. Gonna throw a 1800 rpm initial stall on it.

2200 FTW. let it eat!

It's a good thing I'm very close with the guy who's building the trans so if i'm not happy, I can swap it out and he's got no problem with it. LOL He's well known for his dodge trans and we've had good success with his Allison builds as well. We shall see!

On the 2200 how is that gonna effect towing and such?

I'm not 100% sure on the converter. I will find out. I know he has his own made but i'm not sure what he's going to be using in this application.

When you say 2200 initial flash or true stall? True stall it's going to be 2200, flash stall is going to be around the 1800 mark.
I'm going to a 13" dodge style converter also. Not running a ford converter.

Our converters are based off a cummins style. The 2200 stall is only marginally higher than stock. 2000 is stock stall iirc. I would not recommend going lower than 2200. The converter stall makes zero difference once it's locked. So as for towing it will not matter.

Waiting on a center section and I will have vid's and dyno results up. MAYBE a track run if I get out there before the Truck Nationals at the local track...fingers crossed.
