Any particular reason why you use 75W 90 Instead of the recommended 75W 140?

It works fine and even when I just ran straight gear lube all I ran was 90 weight

On the Royal Purple, it's a good lube.

On the friction modifier I haven't seen any lube that is rated GL-4 or greater that doesn't

I have always run Mobil 1. it is like 75w-140 I think. It is supposed to have the modifier in it, but I usually get a clunking and end up having to add it anyway.

There is nothing wrong with the 75w-90 or any other weights in that range. If you are changing it at all, that is more than most people ever do.
