I just recently did my EBPV delete but I used a new pedestal and outlet from Riffraff. When you unplug the the harness for the ebpv it will set a soft code but not a CEL. I would have gone with IH up pipes if I had the money but I used a set of Dorman bellowed pipes and they are great.

I just got finished doing my up pipes about an hour ago and the difference is day and night! My stock pipes just fell out of the collector, the gaskets weren't even there. The hardest part for me was the passenger side manifold bolts in and out.

I've had my EBPV gutted for years now, no issues. Unless the turbo is giving you issues, I don't see why you would rebuild it. I went with Dorman up-pipes. Hard to beat them at $150 shipped or so from Advance Auto. The quality was much better than I thought they would be. Only issue I had was that one of the nuts was oval shaped
