This is my first post so go easy on me lol. I have 205/100s and they are just way too much for my pmax. So I have been looking into rcd's s400 kit. How do you guys think my truck would spool an s471? Never tow, and isn't my dd. any help would be appreciated

Call Brian @black widow diesel, he can get u hooked up with a small frame 71 that spools around 1700 rpm and 50-55 psi with the convertor locked. . It be a great turbo for 205/100s. Jus opinion of course

That company has a horrible rep, and is not a sponsor. That's not how this site rolls.

If there is anything you need, I would be glad to give you any pointers. We have run just about every setup there is and can certainly say what will work for you or not. Converter, tuning and nozzle size drastically change how a truck reacts and spools.

To start, whose injectors are they? What is your power goal? I would recommend you stay with an s300 series turbocharger, the will spool faster, and still make good reliable power.

Wow...is it 2006?

I tend to agree here. BWD is not a sponsor here......but I think all those issues with cust svc etc are in the past. I spoke with Brian at length a while back and it sounds like his business is doing well. I just think its time to stop beating a dead horse.

That said....support the vendors who keep the lights on here. There are several that could easily set you up with a great turbo solution.

My goal is to run 11's but I wouldn't be against a little spray to get there either. And they are rcd injectors

josh runs MPDs 475, I have driven that truck...spools good for being a larger turbo. I would say with 205/100's you might be better matched with a 66 turbo, rather than a 71 or 74, but that's just my opinion.

My 475 drives nice. Really starts to come alive around 2500rpm with the converter locked. It's a fun setup. I used to run a 72. spooled a little earlier. Didn't pull quite as hard up top
