the 467 that I am talking about is probably the same turbo you are calling a 468. Depends on who you talk to.

It is actually 67.7mm so if you round up it would be a 468 or if you are going by ACTUAL size its a 467.7.

I know any of the S400s regardless of comp housing will fit with Irates plenums. He had a bit of an issue back in the day with fitment, but things have been changed to work across the board.

Should be direct swap to run a 467/468. I would be interested to hear peoples insight. We have ran them all and have our opinions.

if its a boltin I would pull my s468 and let Dieselboy try it at the track in Mission. I live 5 mins from the gate.
wonder how fast it could get swapped
with his new huge injectors I doubt the s468 is enough though

If things work out. By race season I'll have my own 75/83, 67.7fmw, billet 76/88. Basically a bw version of a 4202. Might have a line on a 467 for a good price. With a vband welded in the compressor outlet

Was thinking of trying back to back testing. Strip/DD/dyno

To be honest. I'm convinced the 67 would do better ten my current 75. They both have the same exhaust wheel.
I believe they flow Close to the same amount. Difference is the 75 is lazy. What I'd lose up top I think on the bottom would gain so much more.

I thought the 467 flowed the same as a 471? It may get going better than a 75 but i doubt it'll make the same power as one.

I wonder if the small turbine wheel is choking up your engine/turbo. I'll be running an 83 at first as the truck will be a manual, but i see myself going bigger down the road. I know in an old thread Jason(HRT) made a comment on how much better a 7.3 would run with an 88 wheel vs an 83.

Oh. Exactly. Hence the 76/88 purchase.
The 67 just popped up and is dirt cheap for only 800miles

Is he referring to the 80/88 wheel. Or the 88/96 wheel

I do believe the 67 is a touch more then the 71. But like I said. Down lown ie 60ft times will improve I hope. Enough that it should be a hair quicker overall.
Besides. I do have a 45mm gate lol. Just max boost so it'll only open if I spray haha.

I personally think the 83 wheel is what's holding me back. Just can't move the fuel. 3.7ms with a 400% nozzle. Well. It doesn't even come close to clean

IDK for sure. It was an old thread i ran across a few weeks ago but can't remember which one it was. I'll see if i can't find it.

I'd almost like to keep this S478/92 i have and am trading for the 75/83, and see how it does. Only downfall is T4 housings are expensive, and this is currently T6. Maybe if the guy doesn't get his crap together this week i'll just keep it and run it.

I'm thinking the S467.7 doesn't flow as much on the top end. My truck ran a 12.9 @ 103 with 250/200's. I wonder who has the fastest time slip with a 467.7?

Several guys in the low 12s.

I know Matt from Ffd was cutting low 12s. Jake from irate was a 12.5 in a crew long.

Nate from unlimited in his 2wd shortbox was 11.9 if I recall correctly.

JD I wouldn't waste your time with that 78. You'll never get it moving

I have been 12.6 @103 with a 38r in a ccsb that was with a 7.98 1/8.
When I had the 468 I ran 7.6s in the 1/8 never ran a 1/4 before it blew

Sure i would, if i spin it to the moon. LOL

I'd step down the compressor side to a 71 or 75 if i were to keep it, or get a billet 2.5 wheel and cover. Not sure if i've seen anybody run a 92mm turbine wheel on a 7.3, i imagine it'd make for a pretty nice turbo.

Glad you chimed in ! All I could think was red cc haha. Couldn't put the name to it.
Btw. My best 1/8 was 7.7 I believe fwiw..... Too bad you didn't run the full 1/4. But I'm betting they'd be pretty close seeing as my top end may pull harder but would it be enough to match your quicker 1/8th.... Sad think is your a crew cab lol. Probably 1000lb+ more weight.

im sure he could, im at 5000ft with the 96 and a .90 housing and it takes a second for it to come on but once it does it gets moving pretty quick. There is almost no turbo whistle anymore lol im not sure if im happy that its almost sleeper sounding or upset it dont whistle!

I wish I could have ran a 1/4 also, sad day when she let go. I don't know what it is but my truck has always seemed to be fast for what I had done. I'm ready to finish getting this new motor built and see what she has in her.

I'm gonna jump in on this one. I've got a build going together that I'm gonna be running an s475/s510 (75/104 both billet) I got the turbos as for a deal and the housings on the 75 is a 1.0 but the housing on the 104 is I believe a 1.60 which I feel is a huge gap to try and fill but these chargers were spooled at lower elevation on a dirty so figure the volume of air at my elevation (5000) would hopfully help be compensated with displacement. Anyone ran a similar setup that's on here?? Also has anyone played around with multiple gate setups?? I've found no one likes talking about it haha imagine that.....

the loose housings would be beneficial at sea level or lower but will make some great uptop power but your in a similar boat as i was, i had a loose housing s471 and i just couldnt get it to spool over 30psi and my temperatures are pretty toasty. everyone i talked to said tight housings for elevation. running that big i think its going to be pretty laggy but once it lights man hold on, but i could be completely wrong. i feel alot of the atmo chargers are around a 1.32 housing, i havent seen a 1.6 yet.

After a over a year of abuse my 467.7 had a little bit of play in it so I took it apart. I put a 360 thrust bearing kit in it and am going to see how it does this year. My best fuel only was a 12.3, that was over year ago too.
