My original trans in my 06 ccsb finally bit the dust at 192k. So I thought. Was getting codes for p0766 and p2703. Changed the direct solenoid and got about a month more out of it then it finally quit moving. So I get a low mile trans to throw in it. (50.1k miles). Before I installed it I put a new PTP solenoid,08 trans pan and filter, new trans cooler, new triple disc billet converter, and flushed the lines. Get it all back together and take it down the road. Get about a mile on it and it starts shifting strange and tow/haul flashing. Check the codes and it the same codes as before. p0766 and p2703. Both for solenoid D which I just put a brand new one in anyway. Its flashed back to stock also. Could this possibly be electrical? In the harness maybe? Thanks for any and all help.

I'm going to link a local guy that is getting one right now. He should be able to help. Hang tight

Edited: he just told me it was the main harness that is like 8' long. Do you have access to an Autoenginuity scanner?

What symptoms so you have besides the codes. High temps, flares, not going into gear?

Is there an app for the army that I can get on my iPhone? Web view is a pita

Maybe you can find someone that has a scanner on here locally and they can help you out. You need something that can pull all codes.

Yeah there may be more that won't show. The CTS doesn't show all codes.

The local guy I was talking about is sealeveloc that posted above.

Had the codes pulled from a friends tool and same codes. No different ones. Cleared them out.Had a total of two miles on it. Drained the fluid and pulled the pan. Swapped in the stock solenoid D and refilled with new fluid. Started it and no forward or revrse gears at all now. When you put it in gear it you can hear the motor make a sound like it drops into gear but still nothing.

Damn. If you were closer I'd give you my AE. Again not all scanners can pull trans codes. I think they have to be Ford specific scanners

Kinda what Im thinking. Check the pressure test port and nothing out of there either
With the engine running and the plug removed NOTHING comes out of the pressure test port? If that's true, then the pump isn't pumping. That is often caused by improper seating of the torque converter into the pump when installing hte converter.

Had the trans tore down and he said everything looks almost new. Guessing its a electrical issue maybe?
No, it isn't electrical. There is nothing electrical that can cause no engagements.

How is it that It drove for two miles then threw the same code as the bad trans? Then the next day swap the stock solnoid back in and it wouldnt move at all? I cant see the converter popping out of place.
