SCT on a 7.3

What are your guys thoughts on tuning a 7.3 with a SCT? I have a SCT box and I only want one tune in the truck (towing tune). I don't really see spending $400 for a chip for one tune when I can probably get a SCT tune for a lot cheaper. The truck is an 02 and is stock but has a JW trans.

I honestly don't see a problem with it... Alot of guys just like the ability to have multiple tunes

I still have an Xcal2. I looked on SCT's website and didn't see anything about the 2's. Are these still tunable?

You can always have your pcm flashed.

Yup you can still tune an Xcal 2. It uses the same platform as the 3.

I ran Innovatives SCT tunes on my 7.3.

Loved it.

Like said above you can still get tunes on the X2

An update on this. I did run a couple tunes with the SCT but ended up getting a ts style chip and the truck runs better with the chip. I believe that the chip offers more tuning parameters than the SCT.
