Guys, what he is asking to do is simple. It isn't the greatest idea to pull a 16000lb running a race tune. He wants to build a safe tow vehicle that can hit 350hp with a tune safe for pulling huge weight.

It is obvious a tuner alone will far exceed what he wants, but it isn't safe usable power when towing crazy heavy!

What he is looking for is having the truck tuned so anybody can drive it without egt worries. He want's a truck that he can drive without having to watch the gauge constantly. And I can't blame him there.

You know Twan, I don't watch my gauge much. Maybe you need a motor like mine. LOL

I towed this last month from sea level to over 8k', around 20k# combined.

OCO, that an LE3505 or 37? If so, have you ever actually taken it to the scales? I think you will be a tad surprised! WW was notorious for under tagging their trailers. When we go to the dunes, fully loaded with rail, beer, fuel, beer, water, beer, food, beer, etc.. trailer weighs in at almost 17k! The worst part is the pin weight is pushing on the door of legally needed a F450! Pin weight is even worse when you don't have the rail in there, at least it counters it a little!

I can say, I have never seen a egt gauge move as fast as yours. Lol. It is a bad ass truck, but I like my 6.0, might be easy to swap a cummins, but would be way cooler to have a 6.0 that can run pull with safe egts. Don't see that.

Just for good measure... Looks like the date is off on your camera too.

It's just a small LE3305 w/cargo slide. I had it weighed at a certified cat scale for ****s and giggles one time on our way home from riding. With truck, trailer, family and gear the scale slip said right around 24k#. That wasn't including the bed full of firewood or trailer full of fuel/water on the way up. I agree that it's pushing on the door of a F450. I can't tow without airbags, especially now with Carli rear full leaf packs. It will ride on the bumpstops.

Yeah, I just want a safe, mild build not looking to be the fastest, I will say it has alot of power, just high egts. Was going to buy a new chevy, but I like my king ranch way to much, and all the people I know what me to get away from the 6.0, which drives me harder to make this work.
I have arp studs and a electric fan setup coming from qucik tricks, looking at some manifolds, cam, push rodes, and springs from Holderdown, got a intakemanifold being build will be testing that without any other changes to see how it does. Getting a mad stage 2 turbo, a snow kit. I will be starting to order parts in December, want to get the right list together. The tech will start the build around januray. If it works, it will be bad ass, if not, should have bought a new truck, lol. Live and learn. I want to keep my parts cost under $10,000 any impot on party or ideas will be great.
I didn't have any issues with EGT's towing this last trip. That was with just an ID tow tune, PHP Economy FICM, and AFE intake. My EGT's never went past 1250*. Also forgot I have a Spearco intercooler. I am waiting on an intake manifold from Soot to see if that lowers EGT's any.

Before the injectors with Erics tow tune it did great, would get hot on the long hills, I just let it hit 1350 and pulled along, but on little hills and flats was great, safe, then I got injectors, yes I'm a dumb ass, but was told it would work, now I know.
Kyle, We have a picture with the 6.4 loaded with the lift.

That is why I have been reading all your threads about towing. 155's work for some but I think it's for the guys who don't tow in elevations. I would really like to know how a stage2 with 155's work so get on it.

The big test for this thing is going to be the 1st of April, going to Moab, over the good old rocky mountains loaded, I'm sure I will be at or close to a gross of 30,000. Then June for country jam. I'm waiting on some paychecks to roll in, then ordering the stage 2. Hoping to get all the parts by December. Also getting a intercooler.
Anyone got any input on a cam?
