Should I take them off? Anyone on here have pics with them taken off? Better looking aftermarket alternatives?
My Amp steps only rully retract about 40% of the time after a few months of use. I've taken them back apart and torqued sh*t and aligned sh*t to no end, but depending on where I park they may or may not fully retract.
In any case, they are always free to move by hand when they give up and stop themselves.
Anybody else having this problem?
I plan to build my own controller that doesn't puss out if a feather falls on the step, but was wondering if any of you were as tired of the puss fest as I was.
ive had the same experience. White lithium grease doesnt help, oil type lubricants do not work. THe only thing i have had success with is spray silicone lubricant. Hit them twice/three times a year and you are golden.
Maybe I'll build the controller and have it plug right into their own harness connector (cheese dick connector btw) that way I can just sell controllers to fix the junk.
Imagine an adjustable pot where YOU set how much stall you want! What a novel idea!
Want to strip gears and set wires on fire??? Just crank it up!!!
