Stock vs billet 5r110 input?

I am rebuilding a built trans and am trying to decide whether it has a billet input or not. The shaft has 4506 stamped on the end away from the converter. Google leads me to believe that it is a sonnax 300m billet input. Can anyone verify?

How many rings do you see on the serial#side?

They will be on the input stator support bearing surface on the input shaft.

None, both ends are perfectly smooth. A guy on FB said it is definitely a billet shaft and he had a picture of a stock on to compare it to. Attached is a picture of the one i have.

Id replace it. Looks very similar to the "billet" one that was in my trans from a known builder. It didnt last long. Repaced it with a maraging shaft from tcs
