Friend of mine is outside of Austin and told me the following story.

Parked the truck on an incline so he sent the parking brake. Never does this normally and the H&S wire was wrapped around it. When he did it pulled the ODB2 plug and H&S cord apart. Not 100% on the damage to the plug but I think all the wire ends are showing.

Now he has security light and it won't start. I think a few days ago he had a similar issue but was able to disconnect the battery and it started. Sat overnight with battery unhooked, no go....

Any ideas?

have him completely disconnect the H&S if it isn't already

turn the key to run, and jump the starter trigger wire on the passenger side

it's worth a shot

Check for blown fuses. If he stripped a wire connected to the obd port there is a possibility he shorted something somewhere.

Check the batter voltage as well. I was a locksmith for many years and saw issues where low voltage would cause that pats module light to blink.
