sump with stock hfcm

How are you guys hooking up the 1/2" line to the stock hfcm? Fixing to sump my tank and wanna have it all figured out before I even order the sump

This is how I am doing mine. Will be installing in a week or so. Bought the parts from Summit.

If this doesn't keep up with my injectors I'll be installing a 6.7 pump in place of my current one. I'm also installing a Bean's Diesel Sump.

Haha I'm looking at doing the same thing beans sump now and a 6.7 pump later... the first one is the one you plan to connect to the pump with? I wonder if I can use a hose clamp to tighten a 1/2" enough to seal if that fitting doesn't work

Yes the first connects to the pump 3/8" I believe. You will probably be fine with the hose clamp, I just have OCD and didn't want to do that.

I don't know if I want use beans since it's outlet is 3/8 not doesn't that mean it's the same size as stock? So if I go with a 6.7 pump it'll be 1/2" trying to suck through 3/8"?

Sorry I must have confused you. The beans sump is 1/2" outlet. The 6.0 pump is 3/8" inlet so you have to reduce the 1/2" line or try to compress it with a hose clamp. The 6.7 pump is 1/2" inlet so it will hook up with a hose clamp all day long. I've got some 190/100 injectors on the way so I'm installing a strictly diesel RR kit and the sump to see if it will keep up. I don't expect it to on a race tune but daily driver tune it should. I will eventually go 6.7 pump because if it fails I can get my truck back up and going at any ford dealer.

Well their install vid is what leads me to believe it's 3/8 since they say you'd need a 3/8 npt to -8 an fitting

Well I emailed them and they said the 3/8 npt is the same as 1/2 hose so I'm going to run the beans sump to my hfcm see if that helps my psi issue till I can afford the 6.7 pump

I think I've read everyone but that one... sweet thanks not crazy bout just using spade connectors but guess I could fill it with silicone once the connections or made...

Ahh I'm on the fence I really don't have the cash right now for this found a stock 6.0 lift pump motor for 100.00 brand new... may just do that for now sump it later then when my fuel demand increases jump for the 6.7 pump...

That's an idea if yours is weak. Mine only drops a few PSI on stock sticks so mine is good for now but those 190's are gonna kill it.
