SuperDuty - Taillight conversion

One of my taillights was shot out before I picked the truck up:

I had been debating on what to replace them with when I came across a good deal on a couple pairs of 2011 taillights.

The conversion is very straight forward:
Unbolt Old Lights (2 8MM hex screws)
Cut wires for reverse lights and splice in new connector (LMC 47-0432):

Bolt back in:

Pretty straight forward.

It is in the process of coming off. I didn't have a pair of pliers to grab the round head bolt that it was installed with... The will be off shortly - along with the diamond plate bed rails and tailgate cover...

Put a set of these on a few months back and love them. Far brighter and modern looking, plus with the shape of them, I can see if the brake lights and running lights are working through the mirrors.

Its that big of a difference on how.bright they are compared to stockers

You can also use a small pick to take the plug apart and swap the terminals IIRC

The light difference just going to the newer style is noticeable but not huge. I have to back down my driveway and with the tinted windows it is easier. Next step for me is LED backups and if that isn't good enough - I'll wire in the aux backup lights hanging on the bumper.

I know I was just using it as a ballpark as I thought they would be more expensive. I can get them at cost brand new anyways if I decide to get them :thumbsup:
