Synthetic oil? How soon can I use it?

I have a 2015 f350 I want to change my oil before it really starts snowing here. I bought some shaffers oil.

How many miles should I have on my truck before I switch over to synthetic? I really want to get out any new engine partials.

not 100% sure but you should have a full synthetic or a semi synthetic in it already. so whenever you want to change the oil then go ahead..

I'm waiting till the factory oil trips the Oil Life monitor. I'll be using the MC 5w40 since the dealer does carry it in stock.

I'm curious MC oil is Walmart the cheapest ?

You can change it when ever.

I'll use the dealership oil for now. Wally usually has the 15w40, I don't recall seeing the 5w40 oil.

i was told by a ford tech a while back that fords bulk oil is recycled... dont know how true that is though...

The bulk they drain out is recycled.

I changed my with 1000 miles on the clock. 2015. Replaced the filter and put rotella 5w-40
Been running that in everything I own and have no complaints

i wad told the oil they put in the trucks is from recycled oil!
