Throttle stuck open

I was reving my truck so my buddy could hear it and when it hit 3k i let off but the RPM just shot to the rev limiter. it lasted for about 1-2 seconds i taped the gas pedal again and it dropped back down. I think this could be my TPS but it has never done this while i was actually driving it ?

could be, but I have seen trucks do that on a free rev when they are tuned. some tunes more than others. its not the best policy to free rev them though...something to keep in mind.

It's probably not the pedal. 6.0s have actually 3 different circuits in the pedal that report to PCM. The PCM knows where they all should be. If one dies, it will throw a code. If 2 die it will throw another code, which will then turn cel on and almost always revert the truck to idle and kill the pedal from working until the key cycles.
My guess is hydraulic pressure spike, or something like that from the tuning, like supremely said.

I retuned it and it seems fine now thanks for the suggestions tho
