Is it normal for your torque converter to make a noise in neutral but once in gear you hear nothing? It's a dpc triple disk.

Are the bolts that attach the torque converter to the flexplate torqued to spec?

Mine did the exact same thing until i tightened/torqued all the bolts and the noise went away.

Does anyone ever honestly torque the converter nuts? I always go all the way with my 3/8 air ratchet and then just check them by hand to be sure I got them all. Just curious.

Yeah through the drivers side where the rubber plug is. Sometimes a long extension and 3/8 impact.
