I still don't understand how they could be an inch off. How are you measuring them?

305/55/20 Toyo AT's on 20x9 BMF Novakanes measure 32" on my truck. That is measuring from one side to the other in the center. The tire is supposed to measure 33.2"....but it doesn't.

Just to note....my tires don't measure anywhere close to what they are supposed to. They are over an inch shorter mounted. Just saying.

Ya...that's pretty standard with most all tires. Very few actually measure out to what's advertised.

My 35x12.5r20 toyo mud terrains measured 33.5. That was on a 10 wide rim. I got a killer deal on some 37's for my new 22's And i hope they make the tires shorter haha

Yea. I just figured you would want to consider that, especially since you mentioned taking the truck up a little higher. 33-34" tires might look goofy with more than a leveling kit.

Well the weight of the truck is going to make the tire "squish" down so of course the tire won't measure out the full 33" with only 50 psi in them...

Correct, but a tire is not going to be as big mounted as it is unmounted. I am pretty sure that tire specs are unmounted, therefore they are a little bit deceiving. This would be the reason I was turning ridiculously high RPM's when I was cruising down the interstate at 75 MPH on 305/50/20 Toyo Proxes. They only measure out to like 31" tall mounted.

I guess your right, but then there is no way any tire we mount in these trucks will measure out what they are rated for. Except for big rig tires of course...

Exactly. That is why most trucks running 35" tires aren't really running 35's. They are more like a 34" tire on the wheel. Kinda sucks, but oh well. Nothing is easy with vehicles.
