Transmission Code P0713

Alright, so was driving home last night, and the trans gauge temp was maxed out, check gauge light was on, and the tow/haul light was flashing. Was in 4wd but running normally. Truck seems to be running ok, tranny hit a little hard when the gauge topped out but that's all I noticed. Fluid levels are fine. Any idea what this may be?

It most likely is a failed temp sensor.

So pulling up an old thread....is this an easy fix? Also is it a big problem or does the truck need to be shut down till the fix? Last is it a cheap or exspenive fix?

Easy for one is hard for another. You have to take the pan off, and then the sensor can be replaced.
