Mine was never slipping. Just the God awful squeal. Erny insisted the oil pack that Ford made was lacking critical additives to prevent this during the grab/release procedure. I guess I'm confusing people by even bringing that up in this thread where his trans is clearly not holding a gear. My fault.

Well its getting new overdrive clutches and band. Said the p0771 code was a default code saying the tcm is activating the solenoid but the trans is not responding correctly. Didn't say anything about replacing the solenoid.
You guys think it's okay to just replace the od clutches and band? I'm trying to see if a full rebuild will be better.
