Zmann..yes i changed mine when i did the pan swap, about 13K miles ago. It was completely black. NASTY!!

did u just put the cover back on with no filter ?

No, I replaced it with a new ford toilet paper roll....did you pull yours out completely?

not yet so I was contemplating what route to take

Havent heard of anyone doing it, but I could see the benefit of not doing it...I've actually been trying to come up with a good way to fab up a screw on filter and base in place of the toilet paper roll...never thought about just leaving it empty tho. :fustrate:

the downside to empty is if it ever has a new owner

A billet screw on cap in place of the filter housing with " This truck Equipped with
part###### in Pan filter

would Be cool or you can replace the lines but no thanks LOL
