Well, wasn't trying to step on toes but c'mon, I asked for help twice and all he'd respond is "yes" as in, "yes, someone had the ability to shed light on my problem"? That's kinda messed up. I like a good joke as much as the next fella, but that's like seeing someone on the side of the road, changing a tire in a rainstorm, and driving through a puddle right next to them twice and still not offering help. If it's too "bad of a move", I guess I'll just leave the site. I was just asking for a little help...isn't that what this place is for?

Yes it is, if you let people help they will. Especially him. That dude knows more about the 7.3 than you will with a few years of hard work.

If you want help, you need to supply a question that can be answered. If more info is needed, you need to supply it. If you gotta wait on a buddy to get there to help you out, it makes it a lot harder to help out. I know for a fact, I will not touch somebody elses truck when they tell me "but my buddy said it was this".

Well, reading back over, I think you're right thump. And, now knowing this, I'm sorry for how I came off. I'm not a prick and I try to get along with everyone. So, lincolnlocker, I'm genuinely sorry. You did answer my question and I just honestly didn't realize it. I'm sorry if I upset ya and I'll read more carefully in the future

I understand Arisley...but you have me wrong. I'm a diesel mechanic with 16 years in the field. I can work on my truck myself. He just has access to the specific info I don't that I couldn't find. Not waiting on him to work on it, lol.

I didn't say 16 years working on these. I'm not an idiot man...please don't lump me into "that" category. This is my first Super Duty and second 7.3. It's new territory...I'm having to learn. Now, put me on a semi truck? Watch and learn.

Think CAT. Their HEUI is almost the same as the 7.3. So I have heard anyway.

Biggest thing to remember. The Engine has the same stuff that every engine in the world has. The fact that it is a diesel makes it simpler than internal combustion. The fact that it is HEUI make it more difficult. Now it takes an understanding of hydraulic properties to know how it works.

The EBPV and the EBP sensor, and the wastegate and all that stuff is just pretty basic.

Thank you! Yea, I'm figuring it out fairly quick, just doing my research and learning as I go. My 99 runs pretty good and I'm trying to keep it that way.
