Turbo I.D. Help please

The craigslist ad for this turbo states it's a "Garrett GT47 72mm Turbo VNT Ball Bearing and Billet compressor wheel"

Asked what was on the id tag and got this. "tag says honeywell and Garrett and there's 2 numbers on the tag 23531105 and GBM 14844:
Any idea as to what this is before I go look at it. A friend is considering using it to compound with a 38r.

A gt47 is a bit bigger than a 72mm. If that is referring to the comp wheel. A 47 is 88mm I believe. 72 is a 4294

I think that's right. Also, if I'm not mistaking, you might check to see if the compressor housing is bolted on or v-banded on. I'm thinking that on a few of the garrett models v-bands are real garrets, and bolts is a chinese knock off. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The only way you will know for sure is to actually go look at it and measure the compressor and turbine wheels.
