also if what i said above is okay they have differnt types of s475s with a 66 71 and a 80 of some sort which one?

You are mistaken here. They have different types of s400s. The s475 has a 75mm compressor wheel, s480 has an 80mm compressor wheel, etc etc. They have a number of turbine wheel options, with an s475 as a single, I would do the 83mm turbine like craig.

He means that the 475 has different exhaust housing options for it

If I was doing an s475 (with a 75mm compressor wheel, on the exhaust side I would do the 83mm wheel and the .90 exhaust housing. With the right fueling, I think an s472 could put down 700 easy. River citys site is talking about the compressor side. The choices are an s366 (with a 66mm compressor wheel) an s471 (with a 71mm compressor wheel) and an s480 (with an 80mm compressor wheel).

be different. Garrett GTX4294.

Garrett

Speaking from experience the turbine wheel in gt42s is a bit of a turd, however i was able to make 10psi of boost at 1800 rpm with the converter locked in overdrive with a similar turbo but journal bearing and non billet at 6000 feet of altitude.

WIth that being said it might actually be a decent turbo with a 1.0 housing or a tial .85 SS housing on it.

I do think the gtx4294r is a nice charger, but I think this guy wants cheap, and they are kinda pricey compared to a box stock s475.

If youre truly just shooting for 700, then an S475 is gonna be pretty overkill. Id step down a notch to a little smaller charger to make it a real fun street truck. Just my 2 cents.

not all the turbos they offer are listed on their website, best bet is to just call them or MPD for some more info

I guess i had better say it...

Just because craigs truck makes 850 on a single 75mm doesnt mean that the turbo, injectors, tune ect are capable of that kind of power. Craig managed to put a combo together that worked, on the first try. Is it his tune? Is it is injectors? is it the batmowheel? Is his truck a freak? Maybe to all of it. I think before EVERYONE gets to carried away thinking that that particular turbo makes 850 on fuel, you had better step back and realize that his truck is the only one doing it right now. I would really like to see another truck set up similar and make similar power before i get too carried away.

SO my answer to your question is if you want 850, copy craigs build to the T. IF you want 750 hp back the nozzle and the turbo down a little. My guess is a 71mm turbo and 60 percent over injectors should net the necessary hp you are after. That being said i also think that a billet 66mm turbo could probably net that much power, but it would be like craigs truck, stretching the logical bounds of the set up and pushed right to the limit... nothing wrong with that either.

i understand now. im gonna look into all this some more. i was acctually thinking of a s472 72mm and 0.080 ext housing would work along with 110 nossles. or smaller. what exhaust housing would be the best for a steetable truck with 750?
