To my disappointment I noticed the typewriter noise immediately when I first fired it up after the delo oil change. After 1000 miles or so the noise went away. I had been reading about the problem and thought it was something I was going to have to live with. Now @ 60k I changed the oil again and used mobile 1 5w40. To my surprise the noise is completely gone! The truck idles smother and is quiter under load. I don't know if this will work for everybody and I know it's an expensive oil change, but if the typewriter noise bothers others as it did me then its worth a try. [/QUOTE]
