up fitters in a 99

so i seen in the 6.4 library he put up the upfitter switches. would that unit slide in my cubby? ive seen it done with a similar brake controller but i have no idea if its a ford oem product. thank you

Won't work without some fabrication in your stock dash. If you want to swap to an 05 lower dash (center piece like the f650 lower dash), the 05 upfitters and brake controller will fit in there. It's a bolt in deal and all the parts can be had new from Ford.

A 05-07 lower dash will fit in a 99-04 no issues, I have one in there now its tan, I'm not using it anymore if some one wants to buy the lower dash and switches with cup holder for $80. With a brake controller $175 I pay shipping

It's a different color then the 99-04 since ford changed the color pallet in 05-07, but you can buy interior paint to match you factory color and paint it your factory color. Also the cup holder is new and cost $80 and the cubbie hole next to the switches was $24. So I have over $100 in that lower dash piece. The switches just have a pigtail on the back you have to hook the to your own relays.

Anybody know the 2 colors of wires to power the factory brake controller? The thread linked says he powered 2, which is what I was coming up with, but don't know the colors yet. I have put the upfitters in many earlier trucks, and was working on the controller Friday.

I would also like to know how to wire up the factory brake controller. The write up listed is very informative. I can't find any diagrams for the brake controller either.
