It must be totally different then the EV1's with those dumb amplifier boxes then. Sort of like a can bus setup maybe?

His are the performax series. The gauges only have 3 wires hooked up to them and they are all wired in series. The performax sensors all hook up to a box which codes the readings from each sensor in a different format. The 3 wires are: hot, ground, and data. Each gauge can only read its own code. Pretty slick setup and very easy to route the wires. Also can control up to 17 gauges off one box.

I went with the EV2 series as the cost was a little bit cheaper and I was only looking for 6 guages. Similar wiring but 6 wires to each gauge but the power, illumination, and ground can be wired in series though each gauge so I only have one of each powering all 6 gauges. The sensor wires had to be hooked up to each individual gauge though.

Cant wait to see the night picks!

That's how I thought the EV2's were, still better then the EV1's. The performax series sounds like a really nice and clean setup for multiple gauges like Joe's running. Thanks for clearing that up!

EV-2 do not use the amp boxes but do require all the sensors to be run to the indivdual gauges. The Performax all go to a ESP box under the hood and then three wires come into the cab.

Ever thought about putting some type of coating on the back of just the dial and leaving the pointer bright?

I love how simple it is to wire these gauges. I like my EV2's a lot.

Joe ever have any issues with your fuel pressure gauge being "twitchy"? I know your application is different than mine all around, but me and my buddy are both having issues with them. Not that they're reading inaccurately, but it seems they drop REAL fast...
