I just got new heads from Ford and had them sent to a machinist to be flattened and smoothed out. Anyways I had someone doing the parts running for me so I couldn't inspect the heads before hand. The intake valve seat machining on one head appear to be off center. It's not really the actually seat but just the area around it. Anyone see this before? Will it effect anything? One is a new casting and the off center one is a used casting.

And here is the other head which appears normal.

Anyone? I'm not doubting it'll work but I'm curious if there will be a loss of flow on this head compared to the other or any negative effects.

I'm gonna be changing the springs so I guess I'll have to look at it more once I pull a valve out. My machinist didn't say anything about it. And just by eye they look like they are seating fine.
