one of my HID's misfires several times before it stays on. i have to keep turning them on, then off, then on, off, etc, etc. i switched the ballast from one side to another to rule them out and the same side keeps having the issue so it's something with the truck. Retrosolutions says there is some sort of resistance that is not sending enough juice to fire the ballast the first time. any ideas how or where to start checking?

Is this in headlights or fogs?

OK...this is odd...mine started doing the exact same thing this week....

found the problem....a loose wire connection running to the head light...

...turn the light on, pop the hood....and wiggle the wires...I bet that's it.

they are grounded to the battery

and I've checked my connections multiple times.

is it possible to replace a factory headlight harness?

I think you should start by looking at the loose nut behind the wheel.

You need the relay kit that hooks to the battery and runs across the truck to the opposite headlight

:whs: My old set used to do the same as yours Lance, when I put the new ones in, I used a relay harness, and it's never done it.

No, I have Retro-Solutions and have had them for 2years. Much happier with the silverstars. Won't ever have hids in anything again.
