I didn't say anything at all about the clutch material. I agree that I don't know about the custom clutch material and if it is/is not compatible with any specific fluid.

Go back and read my post to see why I said I would not run anything other than MERCON SP or MERCON LV in a TorqShift.

I went back and looked for your explanation on why you wouldn't run dex/merc in a TorqShift and I didn't see and explanation.

Can you elaborate?

Dex/Merc is generally thicker than SP/LV. The solenoids were designed with VERY small clearances, and thicker fluid may not be able to flow into those small passages. MERCON V is especially bad as most formulations have a very fine solid particle added for anti-foam. Those particles are small enough to get into the solenoid and stick it.

If you have a low vis Merc/Dex it may work. We never tested it in a TorqShift.
