I currently have a 2011 f250 ccsb kr. Been deleted most of its life. After getting a larger fifth wheel I have come to realize I need a 350. At first I was excited to get a 2015 or 16 but I have been hearing about problems with the trannys? Am I just worrying about nothing?

So my other option would be to try and sell mine privately and use my tuner towards a 2014 as the mini maxx's have since doubled in price. I would also like to get a street max from Morgan along with his 25 over pump when it comes out. Am I going to run into problems returning my truck back to stock after 4 years deleted? I didn't do anything with the urea tank and the block of plates were kinda tricky to get at. So I'm hoping they won't be seized at all. Also if I was to get the street max, is this easy enough to install with minimal experience? All I have worked on on my truck is the deletes and fuel and oil changes. Lol

Sell your truck all tuned and deleted, keep the minimax, send it off to get unlocked and ready for a '15, then use the street max and pump money you were gonna use on a '14 and save it for a built tranny on a '15.

Yes I realize the exhaust brake doesn't work after a tune which sucks but I'm used to not having one with the 2011 anyway. And I don't tow that often. Just some weekends in the summer.

I do like the idea of putting a different tuner in this truck when I sell it and keeping the mini max! Never thought of that. What would be the most cost effective tuner to buy for a 2011? And what do I have to do to get the mini max set up for a different truck if I get a 14?

You don't need to buy another tuner. Just take minimaxx with you , leave it tuned to the 2011 , then call me for an unlock ($500) , and boom 2 trucks tuned by the same tuner :)

Just to clarify here you are wanting a DRW 350 correct? Because from SRW 250 to SRW 350 there is pretty much no difference. Or are you just looking for more power?

No I need the 350 for more payload. I am over the gvwr on the truck with the camper's hitch weight. I don't want to get in an accident and have no insurance on my truck and camper because of it

So I have gearhead tunes now. If I did this would I still have the gearhead tunes on the mini maxx or does it clear? And also the person who buys the truck would just have to buy a mini maxx of their own to make adjustments?

This is probably gonna sound stupid, but the way I read the brochure on the trucks, the only benefit is a higher payload on a 350 srw from a 250, so it has a higher GVWR, but I believe it was a 100lbs less for the GCVWR (16,800 lbs in the 250, and 16,700 lbs 350), kind of silly, but I believe the 350 DRW had a GCVWR of 23,500 lbs. Did I read that brochure correct?

That's most likely the towing capacity. The gcwr of both the 250s and srw 350s is the same at 23,500 for the crew cabs. The difference between the two is the gvwr. The 250s being no higher than 10,000 and the srw 350s is 11,500 pounds.

OP, if it was me in your position. I would save money and find a lightly used 2014 and do the turbo and fuel pump.

If the gcwr was only 16,700 for my truck, that would leave me with about 8000 Pounds of towing capacity lol. I can garantee the gcwr is 23,500 for my srw 350. The crew cab duallys, depending on cab configurations, are between 30-40,000 for their gcwr and they are around 14,000 gvwr.

Also if I do trade this truck in and return it to stock, I broke a piece in my excitement of taking the dpf off. Can anyone tell me what that port is just above the exhaust probe?
