im inclined to thank a 1" block would look good.

Agree with this. I like the little bit of rake mine has with no block and cut springs but I think on the longbed the level look will look better. At least with stock wheels...

Stock wheels are coming off. Have new wheels ordered, just waiting for them to show up. I'm going to wait till wheels/tires are on to play with height but I'm thinking 1" block in rear

I've been down this road. Mine has one coil cut in the front and no rear block. For u bolts just get a local shop to make you up a set that are the right length. no more than 50-60 bucks... I think half coil cut with no blocks will sit right about level. One coil puts you right about on the bumpstops which does not ride so nicely... I have yet to try 4800lb springs but I want to throw a set in to see how it sits and how it rides.

:stupid:

Bumping this back up.

What was the outcome? Did 1" blocks help? Also how was the ride?

I'm installing an 06 suspension under an OBS and will be running 33's. Stock length 06 shocks. But what about the carrier bearing bracket? Does it need modded for the the correct angles?

I'm either thinking of 4400 or 4800 springs in front and no rear block. For the OBS trucks to look right (imho) there needs to be at least an inch different front to rear.

Ill have some 4800 springs from my 2012 F-250 in a few weeks if you want em and ranch shocks to go with them. I have a single cab diesel fx4 but it came with the 4800s up front.
PM me if interested, they have 38k on em

Truck sits level with 1" block in rear and 4800lb springs in frt but I have 11+ springs in the rear of my truck. I didn't do anything with my carrier bearing and have no issues with it. Truck rides better now than it did stock but I put the newer style leafs in the same time I changed the frt springs and changed the rear blocks so who knows which made the difference.

Where can you order the 4800 lb springs? Looking to do the same with my 2005 f250.

Thanks for the info. Its going to be a guessing game for me as the 7.3 motor is heavier than the 6.0 and 6.4, but the overall weight of the OBS is lighter than the SD. I'm hoping with the SD b-code rear springs and velvet ride shackles it'll ride good enough in the rear to not make me want to retrofit the longer 08+ rear springs in. I also hope that the 4800's will be enough to support the 7.3 weight yet give a smoother ride. If push comes to shove, I may have to run the 5200 or 5600 springs in front and a stock f250 block in back.

Wut can I do to lower my 2012 do I go to the 4800? I'd like to go lower front and rear I think. Smaller block in rear and airbags so it doesn't bottom out.

i dont but have read that the bumpstops need to be heavily trimmed for those springs and the ride isnt so hot...
