Will weak/bad HPOP cause...

Yeah they might have 20 miles on them.

this sucks, no bueno--- its like getting a fresh rebuilt motor and having leak down past the valves. All that the pump does is supply volume. If the poppets don't seal, makes it hard for the rail to build pressure.

The other issue could be that the pump is supplying no volume.

Yeah I was leaning towards the pump. It only makes 1500psi at WOT now.

Its just strange this issue has gotten worse and worse over the past 2 years. Its always had a hard start when hot, but it would start. It just took 10 seconds of cranking. Then I put a Gen3 on the truck, and after a few days of running it, then the issues with no starting at all when hot came up. This was my reasoning for blaming the pump. I was thinking maybe that new found pressure from the Gen3 blew something out in the factory HPOP.

And it also has a lope on cold startup. Its almost like the symptoms of having the Gen3 on the truck, but without the Gen3 installed, it lopes for a few seconds then clears up.
