WTB: 6.4 powerstroke with mods

seams like even when the bowl is opened up it becomes a non issue, even better is HD pistons or IH pistons, there are a couple guys running them for awhile now with no problems

Do i think its the cure all? No, there is probably still a risk but at this point it seams to be the fix

Thanks Dustin. I would think the swapped pistons should help a truck be a bit more reliable

If I was to buy another 6.4 it would probably get the engine pulled right away for pistons studs and checking the heads out. After that the worries seam to go away

Yep. My plan is to build a long block, as soon as I get another 450, and just swap them and do all of the upgrades that I want to get done...
