I'm rebuilding my zf5 s42 after breaking the input shaft and 4th gear countershaft gear teeth. I find it odd that the countershaft gears are a shrink fit with no splines or anything to hold them from spinning. Has anyone ever had a problem with them spinning on the shaft? I'm tempted to weld 4th, the one I replaced, to 3rd.
