Zf6 shifter

Does anyone know of a good shifter for a zf6. Just bought an 01 with a zf and I need to replace the shifter. Would like to find a billet one with a round knob for comfort. I know Midwest was making short throw kits but have never seen a picture of it. Any advice or links would be appreciated.

I have a short throw shifter for the zf 6 but to work with the 7.3 ZF 6 you wold have to get the 6 bolt spacer ring and 2 more bolts from Dan a midwest trans. I think when I talked to him about it the cost was around 45 bucks. Soot me and offer for it if yo are interested.

Does the stock shifter stick connect to that short throw?

Yes I also have a custom shift handle I will dig out if you are interested in it I will dig it out and get you a pic. It is made out of stainless steal and is a very nice piece and was made by a member.

How does that attatch?? I went to pull my knob on my obs and its all spline's... Anyone make aftermarket shifter knobs??

Out has a set screw and holds really well

Go down to the bottom of the page. He has an adaptor for the ford trucks. I plan on getting on when he returns to work. He's closed right now due to a death in his family.
