Just picked this up, towed my camper to go fill it up and weigh.

I need more ass, 2003 with pmrs/auto and 3:73s

Build me a nice tow pig.
It already has a TS, intake, exhaust, and a CTS for gauges.

Maybe 175/30s and a 38R?

Can't go wrong with a 38r, I don't know what kind of power you'll see with stock injectors
That's what I run but I don't tow as heavy as you do
Even these stock injectors feel pretty decent with a tractor on the trailer
I guess it's a gamble when you put injectors in

38r
full fuel system
a modest injector upgrade would be perfectly fine.
Youll eventually need to beef the trans up obviously

If you can take the noise of a 38R then it would be alright. If your up pipes are leakin then I think I'd just go straight to an s366. 175/80's and an s366

The last 550 we did I used a D66 with ww2 (38r with same would work well) and a set of 160/100s. Thing tows like an animal. It was a manual truck with 4.88s.

A RR or riff raff frx will work for what you need IMO. The stock pump seems to keep quite well to anything under 230s. If you do a 38r I would not do a 1.15 housing.

Reasoning for not using the 1.15 housing? Not trying to be a smart butt, legitimate question here

Sent while doing burnouts somewhere in the country

6.0 Tranny cooler, 38R, and a set of PIS 160/30's and a good live tune and you will be amazed at how well it will tow.

Hasn't there been some negative feedback on WW2? Seems I read that on here somewhere.

I've been running a 38R since 2008 and cannot wait to get it out of my truck. Making a long distance haul pulling that trailer, you're going to hate it. Ask me how I know. :fustrate:

I'd do a fuel system, HPOP upgrade, get that TS custom tuned ( I prefer Gearhead and you might want to look at a Hydra, also) and consult your tuner for proper injectors. At a minimum, get an upgraded valve body and TC for your trans. I recommend BTS and John Woods.

Also make sure your ICP, IPR and UVCH's are in good shape. And throw a couple of CPS' in your glovebox.

Don't underestimate how much HPO issues ( HPOP, IPR and ICP) can affect performance or electrical issues ( UVCH's and CPS'). Electrical issues have driven me nucking futs!
