    Asheville Engine Rebuilders?

I haven't been on here for a while so I had not seen the B.S. that some people have posted. I'm not going to quote every lie but I will state a few facts that will address some of the crap. Fact #1. We do not sell any "bigger cams" and we do not "regrind our own cams." THINK about it...how can...

I was not at all disappointed with him. I was disappointed ALONG with him. I am disappointed in myself for not phrasing that very well.

    Asheville Engine Rebuilders?

Hahaha! I did not phrase that well. I was disappointed ALONG with him, not "with him". I also meant that we had already shipped 270 engine year to date, not in our history. On a real positive note, we built one of our 6.0 performance 30 fully coated engines with a stage 2 camshaft for Lee...

I'd like to clarify a couple of things because the question of AER Manufacturing came up again today on facebook and somebody mentioned this forum thread. Asheville Engine, Inc. aka: Asheville Engine Rebuilders is not in any way affiliated with AER Manufacturing in Dallas, TX. Asheville...

Zmann, Most of the shops that we deal with started doing business with us because of the quality finish that they found when they unwrapped our engine after a customer had one shipped to their shop. I'd love to see what pictures that you are talking about since we have not had anybody...

    Head gaskets blown...again.

The studs probably didn't back out. There was probably a little oil in the bottom of the hole that kept them from bottoming out. Once the engine got hot, it dissipated and left a gap at the bottom.

    Head gaskets blown...again.

Going all the way back to the very first pictures, I would say whoever machined those heads did a really ****ty job. Just out of curiosity, do you know what brand the heads are? We've had many people call us who have purchased aftermarket heads who have had repeated head gasket problems. We...

What would cause a piston wrist pin to exit the block making a 3" hole after 500mi??!

There is a chance that cylinder had either excess fuel or coolant in it. If that happens, something has to give. That being said, we have found that a large percentage of connecting rods from 6.4 core engines are twisted. I think we figured out why but that's another story. If the...

    Engine rebuilders

I just ran across this old post but I thought that I would comment. Asheville Engine, Inc. sells completely re-manufactured short and long blocks using NEW parts. Every block is checked, cleaned, measured and properly machined. The heads are cleaned, magnafluxed, pressure tested, resurfaced...

    Asheville Engines

Guys, I had one of my parts suppliers tell me about this post so I thought I would answer. I started Asheville Engine in 2011 as what was intended to be a "semi-retirement", part time business. I have some physical limitations that forced me to quit working a little early so I partnered...
