Cold no start issue when sitting awhile

I never thought about watching voltage. It cranks fast though, new starter and newer batteries. It won’t start on 90° days so the glow plug system is kind of out of the equation. It does have a new Western relay on it

Cold no start issue when sitting awhile

Just checked the HPOP reservoir and it's full after not running for a week or so. Tried to start it and it won't start.

Cold no start issue when sitting awhile

We have a 03 7.3, if the truck sits for a couple days or more, it doesn't want to start. Sometimes it eventually starts, sometimes ether gets it going (I know I know..), and sometimes ether won't even fire it over. Once it starts, it will run fine and start anytime you need it as long as it's...

    99-04 steering wander

Installed new leaf spring bushings and 4° caster shims from WFO. Still a slight wander to my surprise, I figured the shims would have definitely fixed it from what I've read. I did notice the pitman arm nut has come loose twice since replacing the box so I guess I'll try a new nut and loctite

    99-04 steering wander

Yes sir, both bearings replaced. Drivers side last week and pass side about a year ago. I run 295/75/16's so nothing too crazy. I have them down to about 55psi. Not sure how low I can take them lol

    99-04 steering wander

Oh yeah I will. Not trying to cheap out on it, just tired of throwing parts at it with little to no results

    99-04 steering wander

Came across another post about someone using 2° shims from WFO which fixed his wander. They sell 2°, 4°, 6 and 8. I guess I'll need an alignment to determine which ones I'll need, but I'm assuming no more than 4° shims. Another thing, my springs sit flat, the arch is gone. Would new factory...

    99-04 steering wander

I do have PMF 1.5" leveling shackles but it's just the rear shackle (rear of front spring) and probably isn't long enough. I think PMF also makes axle shims so I'll look into them. So has that been the trick to the 99-04's wander issues?

    99-04 steering wander

I have it toe'd in a hair. Yes, 4x4. I pulled the axle shafts to see if anything changed but it didn't. I just did some more reading and someone said there's an updated drag link that mounts to the top of the pitman arm instead of the bottom? It was supposedly updated by 02, and our 02 and 03...

    99-04 steering wander

My 2000 is all over the road, mostly at highway speeds. Any tricks to fixing this? I've installed a Bluetop steering box and replaced all front end parts that had play. The only thing I haven't replaced are the track bar and leaf spring bushings, as well as the steering stabilizer. I just want...

Brake caliper locking up on Superduty

How often should the fluid be flushed?

Brake caliper locking up on Superduty

I replaced the 3 rear soft lines, installed drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads today. Only my rear wheels were hot after driving so I held off on the front brake lines. Greased everything with brake lube, even the surface of the pistons and seals so nothing can get back there when/if the...

Brake caliper locking up on Superduty

I'm trying to figure out why these trucks go through calipers so often after the originals go up. These trucks have been out 20 years, has anyone found the reason behind this? I've read so much and no one knows (old posts). My assumption is heat, dust, and rust from junk pads and solid rotors...

    99-04 front airbags

I was skeptical since it's my daily, and was surprised I never heard of this and more people running it, yet you see 05+ swaps left and right these days. Thanks for the info, I'll probably look for a rolling 05+ chassis or look into new leafs. I just didn't want to deal with modding brake lines...
