    5w40 Schaeffers oil

I can’t remember, it’s been several years ago. Truck was approaching 100k mile mark and I sent samples in 2 different times to see if anything appeared abnormal before going out of warranty and extended warranty. I know everything was normal, with it saying intervals could be extended but I’m...

    5w40 Schaeffers oil

I have done 2, both came back with everything good. Honestly, my maintenance intervals are sooner than needed, but it works for me. I use the 10w-30 in the truck as well as the welding machine.

    Turbo coolant line fitting

I have a set of the older style fuel line removal tools but seem to be too thick. Are the jiffy tools thinner?

    Turbo coolant line fitting

Ok fellas, I’m needing advice/tips/tricks to get the fitting to unlock from the line. It’s leaking and have new fitting and line to replace it. Just can’t get it to unlock so I can get the line out of the way and replace the fitting. Thanks for the help.

    Egr cooler pipe bolts

Might problem is probably due to it is a 5/10 build with 194k on it. Made it to 184k when ***/exhaust finally gave up. Need to replace radiator, coolant fitting and line on turbo and figured I might as well do the egr removal at the same time to hopefully only buy coolant once. Exhaust valves...

    Egr cooler pipe bolts

I grew up in an independent mechanic shop. As soon as I graduated high school, I got into another trade. Thankful for learning to be able to do most of my own work. That being said, I don’t see how the mechanics these days have the patience to work on this crap. I believe they earn their money.

    Egr cooler pipe bolts

Are new bolts available from ford? And how tight are they supposed to be, if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks, Chris

    Egr cooler pipe bolts

Just wanted to share/offer another alternative to drilling and tapping the two little bolts holding pipe from exhaust manifold to egr cooler. It’s well known these twist off. I’ve not had much luck in the past drilling out twisted off bolts. I guess I’m not patient enough or don’t have the right...

    Iso 38r turbo

:whs: I talked to Corey quite a bit before I started gathering parts for the upgrades to my welding truck. Very knowledgeable and the truck runs very well and works even better in the environment I work it in. Wish I had done this years ago. The support before and after parts were bought were...

Cracked block and Block fill questions

I’ve had way better luck repairing cast iron with 7018 than I have with nickel rod. 7018 is softer and seems to melt/bond into the cast in my opinion. I’m sure it’s been done both ways with success.
